JP, my friend is a a custom installer and got me mine basically at cost. And, of course, the wife brought up the initial idea of getting one. We also got a Tivo recorder and disc burner, and that thing flat out rocks. Gone from being someone who never tapes anything, to taping a whole bunch of stuff since it is so easy.
I gotta say, hi-def is all it's cracked up to be. After 2 weeks with this, I still sit there with my mouth agape at some of the images. The Superbowl on HD was mind blowing. The downside: I've gone from watching virtually no TV in a week to watching 3 or 4 hours worth (not including when I get into the groove and watch back to back episodes of
