Speaking of ice climbing, one of the benefits of our new HD cable channels is that they have great outdoor specials on. One of them, that I've seen 3 times now, is called
'Farther Than the Eye Can See' . It's the story of one climb of Everest in 2001. Filmed in Hi-Def for the first time on Everest, it chronicles the summits of a father and son team, the oldest climber to Summit (64) and, most amazingly (and the focus of the film), the first blind climber to summit. An amazing and beautiful film that makes you feel like you are there and really takes you through a gamut of emotions.
