Can't wait to see the pics of the new (to you) bike!

Good to hear from you too Pman. Sorry you have to put your bike away for so long. At least you have a good outlet.

If you have never explored the Crossfit stuff.....I encourage you to do so. It is really cool stuff. One key to remember, as you watch the videos, is that everything is scaleable. You are watching some very elite people doing those exercises (although, there are lots of CF videos out there with normal people as well) and they blow through the WO's at an alarming pace. I'm easily a year away from doing ANY crossfit WO as rx'd (proper weights and reps) in a respectable time. But, it's all scalable, as I mentioned.

Example. If you search you tube for "crossfit gates of fire" you will get a pretty good video, with normal humans doing a very specific workout for time.

IE:
Do the following for time.
50 GHDSU (these are Glute Ham developer sit ups)
50 push ups
100 thrusters @ 65lbs
50 push ups
50 GHDSU

The first time I did this workout....I had to scale all three. In other words, I immediately scaled the thrusters to 45lbs. I knew I wouldn't be able to do 100 @ 65lbs. What I didn't know is that the last 20 push ups I would have to do "girl push ups" and I could barely complete those reps. And I had to go to a normal bent knee situp for my last 15 GHDSU. I finished the workout in 32 minutes.

Well last night, I did this workout again. My first time to duplicate a CF workout and compete against my own time. Well, I again scaled the thrusters to 45lbs, but I didn't have to scale my GHDSU's or my push ups. I finished in 31 minutes.

Success!
