most community colleges have a separate transfer center where they have information on transferring credits to the various programs of the local universities.
Check there to make sure you're able to satisfy both the lower division GE for transfer and any major-specific requirements.

In California, there are statewide agreements between the cc and the universities about what will transfer as what - however the requirements are not necessarily the same between universities. Example: there are two different lower division biology series for bio majors - one for Cal State system and a second for the UC system.
