Well, time for an update. I have been lax about posting; I need to do so daily. Workouts have been hampered by some depression, but this morning I am back on track.

Fasting blood glucose today was 102. Going down toward my target. My monthly average before I started this challenge was 133.

Lower body workout today. Here's the results...

5 minute cardio bike warm up at level 10, followed by stretching/flexibility workout
Squats: 3 sets of 10 x 140 lbs
Deads: 3 sets of 10 x 100 lbs
Hip Extension; 3 sets of 10 x 130 lbs, each leg
Calf Press: 3 sets of 10 x 130 lbs
Abs not worked due to lack of gym time (a traffic accident on the beltway delayed me 20 minutes in arriving at my gym).

Nutritionally, things have been working out quite well. I have been eating small meals of 300-350 calories every 3 hours, with mostly fresh fruits, veggies, proteins and dairy. I have managed to cut out all fried foods, potato and pasta dishes, and cokes. Lots of water and green tea. I do this 6 days a week; Sundays seem to be a little less structured, but I still try to make healthy choices.

I have managed to get out of bed and to the gym 6 out of 10 days so far; my goal is 70% or more. Had it not been for a few days of depression, I would of exceeded this goal.

More later....good luck guys....keep it up; we're doing a good thing!
