I'll throw 2-3 cps into a hot bath and soak for 30 minutes or so.
Longer if you can stand the inactivity.
It's not a cure, though. It's a treatment. It speeds recovery, but it's not happening over night.
Another good trick is to be as mobile as possible. Some people have less DOMS if they do some cardio after the workout.
If you're brand new to lifting, you'll be sore awhile (I was sore for 2 weeks when I first started NROL), but you do adapt. Just keep at it, it gets better.
