Holy Crap I forgot how beat up you feel after these workouts.
Workout A1 - Day One
I am happy to report the gym will be great at lunch. My fears are mild now having done it once. I even have a "partner" wanting to know what I am doing and wanting to learn. I told her to buy the book. It works out great beacuse we take up the two pieces of equipment and alternate.
We did get a couple of those stares, you know the ones where you can tell they are saying "uh,... what the hell are they doing? The elipticals are over on the other side of the gym"
The step ups are brutal but for some reason I love them. Its great to feel this bad, again! It reminds me I am doing something and doing something right!! (BTW - said partner said shes been doing cardio and machine since May and has NEVER felt this way when leaving the gym) ROCK ON!
Fuel: I am trying to eat small meals and doing well, its hard to break the "diet means less food/calories". I did have a recovery shake, its my sweet reward for working so hard (real simple: 1/2 scoop gatorade and 1/2 scoop of ON Whey Protien with ice and water in a shaker). I am going to try to get an exact meal plan on paper but this will evolve we are a family of 5 and I need to think of family meal planning.
