If you use the lid method, the yolk clouds over, and it's no longer "sunny." Perhaps you could call that a partly cloudy egg or partly sunny, if you are a half-full type of guy.

Perhaps it's been too long since you've seen the sun.

This is an egg. See how it's reminiscent of the sun?
