1. If you're not going to wake up earlier to eat then it really doesn't matter does it?

2. You've ridden before without a meal in you and survived. It probably wouldn't be an issue unless you were doing some significant riding or doing some sort of interval.
3. Energy source burned during exercise isn't necessarily relevant. If you burn fat during exercise and build it back up from your eating it doesn't really matter that you burned "fat" right? Your various energy stores are in a constant flux. Your priority (if trying to lose fat) should be a negative calorie balance.
