Sounds good ... similar to the surgery I had except I have a lateral incision too where they went in to anchor the femoral component ... now that is all done through the anterior incision.

One suggestion I have is to practice quad setting now ... it is easier to do after surgery if you have the hang of how to do it before ... if you've never used crutches, it's also good to learn proper technique and practice ahead of time.

Also ask him about a CPM machine ... the research on keeping/gaining range of motion is inconclusive, but they are great for additional pain control ...
