My main questions center around how long I won't be able to workout for. Over the last 4 years my workouts have been my retreat. The place I go when life wasn't all that great. I've also worked pretty hard to gain the weight I have and am already feeling pretty depressed about how much I'm going to lose over the process.
I understand that heavy leg work is something that will be worked back up to over the course of months (6-9?), but what about upper body? Will I be limited in being able to pick up and carry weights to load the bar for a great length of time also? How long is average till I could go to the gym and get an upper body workout in? Assuming I have the surgery in the next couple weeks, the doc seemed confident he could have me snowboarding by Feb. After reading on the internet that seems like a pretty aggressive timeline. Is it?
What other questions should I be asking the doc?
