My advice? Spongey knuckles are no excuse to be a pussy. I think you should get a thick, unsanded block of wood and punch it at least 100 times with your injured hand. That will toughen you up a little, and maybe you won't feel the need to whine on message boards about little "owies."
You got it all wrong JP! Spongey knuckles are best remedied not by punching wood, but by punching oneself in the face. Come on dude, I thought everyone knew that!
