gobbla, stingo -
Thanks, yes it really does suck....BIG TIME. However, now that we know what the situation is, we have to work with what we've got. We did manage to get some hopefully useful information on common triggers and coping mechanisms. We've also decided to try earlier, more aggressive drug intervention when she feels a vertigo attack coming on...Hopefully we can mitigate the severity and duration.
The Doctor seemed surprised by the number and range of questions we had for him yesterday - We kept him tied up for almost 2 hours with a break for the ENG test and we're highly thankful that he was willing to spend the necessary time with us. We're both very analytical - our jobs require it - and our goal was to as fully as possible understand the situation and our options. We felt our session was a success in that regard at least. No, we did not hear what we had hoped to hear, but we did manage to learn enough to have some hope we can do a better job of managing the situation.
I realize that the full implications of all of this may not have fully registered yet, but we'll work through that as it settles in.
stingo - I've always felt the lucky one.
