Why not try a more moderate approach first? Lower the cals, keep everything pretty balanced.. Dont worry about GI, carbs vs fat, neglecting fruit, insulin, etc. Make sure you take in at least 1g of fats per kilo of BW, and eat enough protien.
Its no quick fix, but after a few weeks youll be seeing results. Remember, the body cant loose all that much weight per week without taking hard earned muscle with it. Should never be in a rush to diet imo.
Why go 'advanced' if you dont have to.
