I have a niece, too. She'll be 11 in September. She's equally as cool as my nephew. They have been like my little best friends. Every now and then I feel badly, though. You're not alone. It's not in Mrs. Egham's wiring either. Fortunately, that was not an impediment for me....I had finally found the perfect woman for me and since we were in our mid-40s (1st marriage for both of us), the thought of raising a family no longer appealed.
