Perhaps I'm missing something, but my understanding is that HIIT only helps maximize fat loss when in a calorie deficit.

Burning these extra cals sorta defeats the work of the extra food. I don't think HIIT stops fat from forming, does it?

I'm a bit new, so I'm wrong a lot...
