This can happen for sure,
But you body will have lost some muscle, and will be wanting to grow at the same time. You will be very anabolic (to both muscle and fat).

You could easily put on 5lbs of muscle within a few weeks of this from experience. Add that to the 3lbs of water you can gain, and you get alot of people freaking out. This would be a good time to work-out as hard as possible imo.

Sounds like some good progress, 6% is a great goal, thats damn lean.
