Default Get Shredded Diet: Week 1 Progress Report

(i wasnt sure whether to post this here or in the training log; since its not an actual log i posted it here, but my apologies if it does belong there)

so yeah... JB wasnt kidding in his article about this diet being extreme. i made it a full week so im proud of myself. The transition from my previous eating habits to this diet wasnt TOO bad. I've adopted Adam's diet as my normal eating habit, so I didnt have to cut that many foods out. I just had to really lower the calorie intake and start tracking, measuring, and recording everything i put into my mouth. It was annoying at first, but since im eating the same exact thing every day, its now pretty easy.

For the first 5 or so days I felt really sluggish and energy-deprived, and slept like a baby through the whole night. But these last couple days, and as im typing this now, I've just been absolutely WIRED, and have had a little trouble sleeping sometimes, and have been waking up a few times during the night. I am taking hot-rox extreme, and i have upped my caffeinated green tea intake to 3-4 cups a day, but the real reason i now have energy is probably because my body just got more used to the diet.

I am also halfway to my "refeed" day, so im psyched about that. I'm not gonna go too crazy, and im gonna keep it MOSTLY clean. I havent really had a cheat meal in many months, so I don't really get any bad cravings, but if i do get those hunger pangs, i just make a nice cup of green tea to hold me over until the next meal.

I am currently eating at BWx11 these 2 weeks, and i plan on going down to BWx10 the 2 weeks after the refeed day, and see how i progress on it and take it from there. I also plan on gradually adding and increasing short steady-state cardio sessions over the duration of the diet in addition to the weight training and sprints.

But as far as progress goes, i think i see my lower abs starting to come in. Accoring to my tanita scale, im hovering around 9% bf, and im hoping to get down to 6% over the next 4-5 weeks.

Oh yeah, one last thing. I dont mean to gross anyone out, but during the first 4 days of the diet, i couldnt help but notice i didnt have to go #2 at all. But after that, ive been back to normal. I'm curious as to why this is. My guess is that the new super-low calorie diet was pretty much forcing my body to use every last bit of food it got for energy purposes, and then after 4 days my body adapted to the diet and started utilizing more fat for energy?

so thats about all i have to write, im all jittery and cant sit still anymore. im gonna go run for a bit.

and thanks to anyone who actually read all of that
