I would say, getting over the weight bearing mental issue took about a week of working many times a day. Getting over going down stairs (or a curb) was probably 3-4 weeks. Getting geared for running about the same time as stairs - they are all controlled falling issues. You wouldn't take as long I'm sure because my ankle injury left me with proprioception issues to resolve as well as strength to regain.
