Okay..here's why I was confused..
Last summer I swam the mile at boy scout camp. They have an olympic pool at camp. We had to do 16 laps (down and back is a lap) to complete the entire mile.
Now..what I figured out here is..the pool at camp must be a 50 meter pool..that is you would be doing 100 meters per lap. That being the case...16 laps would be, roughly, a mile.
That said..I don't think the pool I am hitting now is 50 but 25 meters.
I realized after doing the math (properly) that I actually only swam a half mile if this is the case. Boy is my bubble busted.
Well..I did have a lot left in the tank..I guess that explains it.
Shee it. Ok.. I'm going for a mile. Damnit.
Oh..and I will ask someone the actual length of their pool.
