Well, the appeal to the 24 Hours of Triathlon that we have seen is that it is in Boulder - only a 3 hour drive for me, but soon to be home. I would certainly consider doing an event in Texas, but if you have researched Texas much, you'll realize that there is a massive triathlon community there, and I don't think you'd have much trouble getting turnout.
