Default Left arm is doing more work.

I just started doing a lot of compound exercises and have realized that there's some kind of imbalance between the left and right sides of my body. On a bench press, even with dumbells, I'll feel that my left arm is getting more of a workout, i.e. it feels more strained. And I'm left-handed, so I would think it would feel less strained if anything.

This is probably related to something I recently noticed when i go to do crunches. If I lie flat on my back with my hands behind my head, my right elbow can easily/naturally be stretched to the floor, while I cant really get my left elbow to the floor if I try. It almost seems as if my left shoulder blade is larger and slightly titling my body to the right.

I've tried focusing on using the right arm, and adjusting my grip a little to put more pressure on the right, but this hasn't worked too well and am not sure it's good for the workout.

Any ideas?
