I'm suppose to do Day 3 today but i believe i will give myself another day's rest. My hamstrings and abs are very sore from speed day, along with my still sore traps from the supramaximal deadlifts. Most DOMS, by far, i've ever gotten in my traps.
I plan on taking the full 2 days rest after the platform deads and then start following the rest days has is. Hopefully, my body will have made some adaptations by then and the DOMS subsides.
Just to add, i usually trained though DOMS in the past but its pretty bad this time and my main goal is strength.

In the future, train through the soreness. If you do, you'll be handsomely rewarded with super-charged recovery. Trust me on that one.
I can't tell you how many people have told me they don't incur any soreness since forcing themselves to train through the soreness for the first few weeks.
