The original program was sponsored by Muscle Media 2000. It was billed as a contest to chose a spokesperson for the magazine based on an essay along with before and after photos. I was fortunate to win the 5th spokesperson position. I believe there were eventually eight chosen before before the format and prizes changed. The photos were dated and taken by the contenstant. It is amazing what posture, elimination of body hair and skin color (tanning) can make. I did go from 14% to 6% bodyfat in twelve weeks. Roughly 16 lbs of fat loss. I know Bill is a tough businessman, but in my case everything he promised he delivered. The last step of contest screening was a extensive drug test to ensure applicants were natural. I know of two winners who were stripped of their contracts and prizes when they tested positive for anabolics. I think the Body for Life program is great for someone starting out.
