Today, I went for an old school BB split routine (one of JBs freebies on PN, but I am starting at the competition phase since my main emphasis is on fat loss right now):

SHOULDERS/TRIS:
all db wts per each

A: DB press 30x8,8,35x6,6,4

B1: DB lateral raises 10x10,10,9,10
B2: DB front raises 10x10,9,9,7
B3: DB seated press 10x10,10,9,10
(Done as a triple set, no rest between exercises)

C: close grip bench press 45x8,65x8,75x6,6,85x4

D1: decline DB tricep extensions 12x10,10,10,9
D2: close grip push ups 6,6,6 (didn't feel like doing the last set)
(Superset no rest)

So, today was a complete change of pace from the more full-body workouts I've been doing. The shoulder triple set was a burner for sure, and the DB presses felt GREAT. I haven't done heavier seated presses for a while.
I also did the I/O mobility warm up before I went to the gym... my foam roller is en route, woohoo!

Also
Ran 3 miles/27 mins this morning.

I got my Waterbury book today as well, looks well-done and at first glance, no glaring typos so I have high hopes

Overall, I feel like absolute dog crap today... very tired, achy, think I am catching a cold or something. The damned cruise is next Saturday, so I don't feel like I can let up yet; I am sure that my workouts will suffer once I'm at sea so I just want to keep on schedule here.

Tomorrow I will post weight, bodyfat, all those other lovely variables. Gotta have some numbers to crunch, after all... and set some goals for the fitness summit
