Everyone says front squats are easier then back squats, but I find them a bit awkward. When I start FLII, I'll be back to doing them and it'll be interesting to see what I can put up.

This was a lot of weight for me for front squats. Near the end of the 2nd set, I got a headache. Not a piercing pain, more like a pressure type of pain. Hmmm...... Headache continued through the third set. Not a good sign.
You'll go blind doing that. j/k.

I tend to inhale on the eccentric, but hold it until the last 1/3-1/4 of the concentric.

What's your breating pattern?

What an embarassing set.... Headaches sort of came and went. Weight was pretty low due to the heavy front squat set. I ended up using more of my back than what I am supposed to. My form seemed to be okay, but my legs were shot from the front squats.
Hmmmm...now I'm starting to suspect the muscle around your head are getting stressed. The upper traps get hit with the shrug and if that thingamajig* that Tony G quoted in his Soft Tissue article is correct, there may be some carry over to the muscles around your noggin.

This may also happen if you're lifting with your shoulders on the front squats.

Perhaps a CSCS can chime in and say something to this.

Bulgarian Split Squats
1X10X25 (actually that is a guess on the weight, but it will probably continue through the rest of this log. They are 10lbsX2 + the dumbbell bars)
1X15X25
1X15X10
Better than my loads on BSSs. I'm terrible.

* In his rather exceptional book, Anatomy Trains, Thomas Myers explains the theory that "muscles operate across functionally integrated body-wide continuities within the fascial webbing. These sheets and lines follow the warp and weft of the body's connective tissue fabric, forming traceable 'meridians' of myofascia. Strain, tension, fixation, and compensation are distributed along these lines."
