Shonie schooled him in the 2nd round, putting Rich on his back and pounding him pretty good. Never came close to KOing him but it was a clear win.
I don't know if Serra is gonna get too far. His BJJ game is awesome but he plays alot of closed guard, which is hard to succeed at when the guy on top is nailing you with punches & elbows. His stand up may not cut seeing as who else is on the show.

We finally caught this ep. Luckily I was editing our DVR selections and saw a "Ultimate Fighter" on the list. Like...whoa....could it be the new season?
And it was. Cool.
So far, I like it. I'm hoping they show more of the training in this season - what they've shown is pretty awesome. You can tell in an instant these guys were from a different level. As Dana said, they don't need to be babied like the previous guys. Heh.
As for the first fight, pretty good. And man, that Matt Serra can coach. Shone is a lucky bastard to have that guy in his corner. Kuri, Serra may not get too far competitively here, but he's got a bright future as a coach. And since I'm a former competitive athlete, I was always hoping to get a "well versed (of the sport), personally competitve, enthuisiastic, and capable of relaying instructions in a personal way to the athletes" type for a coach. These are all the points that Serra displayed. Kudos to him and lucky for the grey team (Team Mojo?).
