Well, so much for recovery. Had a nice brick session today:
60 minute bike with a bit of climbing. I was going through an intersection and wasn't clipped in and my foot slipped and nailed my pedal. I have a HUGE bruise and a nice cut, but it's actually not in too much pain. I'm icing and popping some advil tonight, so hopefully it'll feel okay tomorrow.
Jumped off my bike, ran into my living room for a quick "transition" (about 2 minutes) and off for a 30 minute run. A nice little out and back along the river, and my ankle felt alright. I have a long, open water swim planned tomorrow with the tri club, so I should be able to stay off of it for the most part.
I'm eating like a maniac today. I'm so hungry, and I'm trying to shut my body up, but it's not working so well. I mean, I haven't eaten a ton, but my resistance is fading. A big pasta dinner might be in the works...........
Anyway, Le Tour is coming up, and my next tri is only about 4 weeks away. So life is grand!!
