Flameout is like any other convenience item. You pay for easy. I figured it up, and my math probably sucks but here is what I got. For this example I am only going to figure the DHA. At walmart they had bottles of 120 capsules. 2 capsules was a serving so there are 60 servings in a bottle. In each serving (2 capsules) there were 280 mg of DHA. Each bottle costs 6.50. Flameout has 22 servings per bottle with 2200 mg of DHA per serving. So total for the walmart brand, there is 16800 mg of DHA per bottle. For flameout there is 48400 mg of DHA per bottle. Since the flameout is 25 bucks I need to take the walmart brand times 3.8 to get even prices. This makes 63840 mg for 25 dollars of the walmart brand and 48400 mg for 25 dollars of flameout. So by saying that it is 5 times more expensive, you are dead wrong. Its actually 1.31 times more expensive. But....you get the CLA (not sure if that is helpful or worthless), you get the ratio that is more beneficial to men, and you get the convenience of taking only 4 pills instead of 10 to get the same amount of fish oil. Like I said, this is only for the DHA but it puts it a little more into prospective. Ha ha, I think I better go to bed before I start thinking about other stuff. All this from a guy who doesnt take flameout or any fish oil for that matter. I might have to start though.
