Well, while I think the ratio and total protein/carbs/fat is the most important thing here, you have a point on the casein vs. whey. Doesn't Berardi suggest a half casein, half whey mix for post workout (especially for burning fat casein is supposed to be good, but not as good for anabolism.)?
