Been thinking about this alot the last few weeks as I embark into the world of fitness and start sorting courses etc. and working with clients.
Whats your motivator?
Just because you have your own personal goals it's easy to assume others have similar goals. Whether it be body shape, amount you can lift or whatever.
Motivation is a difficult beast to master sometimes but there's a concept I use in my current job that helps me:
Primary and secondary motivators.
A primary motivator would be:
I want to lose weight
I want to feel fitter
I want to have bigger muscles
A secondary motivator though is the reason:
I want to attract a partner
I want to secure a job
or quite simply I want to be able to wear a designer shirt (hopefuly not like the on JP was sporting the other day).
So to help me in my learning process I'd like to ask the forum this:
Whats your Motivator????????????????????
Just in case anyones interested on how I use the concept its based on Maslow Hierarchy of needs:
