Default Re: Help! Hardship Cooking

Cool, a new kitchen! You're arousing my jealousy. You'll invite us all over to take a look at the new one, right?

I've been doing some cooking ahead just as part of re-vamping my diet to conform to Berardi's "Seven Habits". So I've been adding a lot of raw veggies and salads and things that don't need to be cooked. Sounds like you're in good shape with the fridge handy. I've been cooking several chicken breasts once a week and keeping the chopped chicken on hand for tossing into a spinach salad.

Do you have Gourmet Nutrition? A lot of the recipes in there can be made ahead and reheated: London broil stew and peasant stew can be reheated in the microwave. I'm sure the venison stew is good, too, but I haven't made it. And all of these can also be made in the crock-pot, which you'll have on hand, too.
