First, Hello to all I know from days of future passed.
Question;
I have a Nephew who has just turned 15. He's a classic ectomorth with a body like it was made of matches and has never been active or good at sports. Finally he has come to the realization that he'd like to get into some kind of routine and is working with a trainer at his school.
His Mam, my sister is a little worried (aren't all mums) and is asking if there is any available literature she could buy for him to help him on his way to a fitter, healthier lifestyle in a sensible fashion.
Reading through this forum a little bit I found a lot of great advise on how young athletes should train but I’m looking for some basics on ‘how to become a young athlete having spent 15 years sat on your duff playing computer games and living on crappy food’.
They don’t have great internet access at home so preferably something in book format would be appreciated.
As a starting point I was going to stick my old copy of TAP in the mail which gives out good solid eating advise.
Any comments, thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance for the help.
Cheers
Richie
