On my side of the world everybody eats anywhere from a pound to 3 of plain full fat yogurt a day (cow's, sheep's and buffalo's).
It gets pretty boring being fed it every day when you're a child. We used to mix it with jelly, chocolate, cookies, fruit, honey (mmmm) sesame butter and granola.
You can also use it to make my favorite desert. To strain the yogurt you only need a soft cloth, about the size of a small towel.
I usually put 2 lb yogurt in the center of the cloth (make sure there is ample space to tie it in the ends) and then sqaure tie the ends together and let it hang overnight (usually in the sink hanging from the kitchen tap).
In the morning is thick and strained and you can blend it with splenda ot honey and some fruit (then it's good to refrigerate and eat).
My favorite: wild strawberries and blueberries + splenda
